Products of the month

Fall is in the air.....and so are the germs, not to forget the H1N1 flu is also. So for this month the products will be those that help ward off some bacteria and a new gadget I purchased.

I also wanted to post a new gadget I purchased last month, the Swiffer Wet Jet. This mop has been a life saver for me because when you have the spills from a juice cup of you want to mop quickly before company gets to your house, it can be be done and dry in 10 min. It is also so easy to use, my now almost 5 year old can use it.

I go through so many bottles of this stuff in a week, that I should be co-owner of the company. =0 I keep a bottle in my van, my purse, my room and the living room. I'm not one to come in close contact with people like shaking hands, hugging or touching. I try to stay at least a few feet from people out in public because I have seen so many people sneeze in their hands and shake someone else's hand. That is how germs and sicknesses are spread. So please during this cold and flu season cover your mouth and wash those hands. =0

I use these a lot also. I keep a bottle of these in my van only, sometimes I'll buy them for the home. This also helps keep those nasty icky germs away.

Products of the month.

I was so sleepy and tired yesterday that I forgot to post the product of the month and the Character Quality. Well like I stated in a previous post, we will be working on Obedience again this month. I feel like he did not quite get the whole definition down of what being obedient means. He is a VERY strong willed child, and sometimes stubborn. The products are listed below for the month, I hope that they can be helpful to you.

Naturally Fresh Deodorant Crystal ™ - I started using this deodorant a few months ago because I started to break out from the deodorant I was using. I even went as far as to search out recipes to make my own, I liked the homemade deodorant I made but stopped using it after I broke out again under my arms. So I started another search for deodorants with no harsh chemicals in them. After searching I finally came across this brand of deodorant and decided to give it a try. I have had the same deodorant for 5 months now and there is still enough to last me for another 2 months. I used to go through 2 sticks of deodorant a month, and now I’m down to 1 stick for half a year which has saved me some $$$.

Odoban - The very first time I used this was back in 2001 at the daycare center I worked at and the product worked wonders there. We went to Sam’s back in February to get a few items and I purchased this to use. I never knew it has so many different uses till I read the back label. This product when mixed with the proper amount of water is a deodorizer, sanitizer, disinfectant, mildewstat and a virucide. It can be used almost anywhere in the home. I put 1 TBSP in a clear 24oz spray bottle and use it as a all-purpose cleaner. The smell is a Eucalyptus scent which last for a long time after you use it.

Till next month, STAY BLESSED!

Products of the month.

This is my first post in my "Products of the month series". I hope that you find it very useful in helping you pick items to use in your home as well as for yourself. The item will not be overly expensive nor hard to find.
This month I will be doing cleaning products that I used in July.
1. Clorox disinfecting wipes - These wipes are great to use and you can basically wipe down anything, except yourself with this wipe. And a plus for me is that it kills germs.
2. Dr. Bronner's liquid Tea tree castile soap - I ABSOLUTELY love this product line! What I use this for is to clean down my counters, stove, fridge & table. I drop a couple of drops from the bottle and sprinkle some water on the item I'm cleaning and use my dish towel to wipe it down.
3. Fabuloso - I have used this brand for a few years now because it cleans good and the smell is very nice. I mop with this and sometimes mix in an empty spray bottle with water ans use as an all-purpose cleaning spray. I highly recommend the baby powder scent, it has a soft powdery smell to it.
4. Febreze Hawaiian Aloha fabric refresher - This stuff is awesome! I spray it above my bed, on the curtains, the couches and carpet. The smell last for a while.

Next month I will be doing the products I used for myself in August.

Stay Tuned.....

Yeast gone wrong :(

I had froze some yeast bread back in March, it was 1/2 white & 1/2 wheat. Well I let it thaw for a couple of hours, and opened the freezer bag to an awful fermented like smell. :<( yucky! So I figured well it may taste different than it smelled, to my surprise it tasted a little fermented too. *sigh* I don't know if it was because the bread was half and half, or because I have never really froze bread, I just make one or sometimes two loaves for the week or whenever we want homemade bread. I may try with the freezing of the bread again, who knows it may smell different.

What part of spring are you?

This is from a post that I seen over at bev's. It's a quiz about what part of spring are you. Here are my results.

You Are Baseball Games

You like old fashioned things. You're one of those people who values tradition.

You enjoy a slow pace of life. You believe that life is all about enjoying every moment.

You love the changing of the seasons, and you look forward to what each season brings.

You are smart and a bit obsessive. You become very immersed in your interests.

Take the quiz and see, "What part of spring you are".

Allergic Reaction to Deodorant!?!?!?!?

Lately I have been having an allergic reaction every time I use my deodorant. When this happens I get a very bad rash that doesn't go away, till I stop using the deodorant for a couple of days. So what I did last night was make a batch of homemade deodorant to use to see if it helps. And I'm only one day in and I can see a difference. I have not had any body odor from my underarms at all today, and I was pretty busy around the house. The recipe is as follows:

1/4 c. Coconut oil
1/4 c. Cornstarch
1/4 c. Baking Soda

*Mix all ingredients in a small bowl with a lid till creamy. Store with lid on, and apply to underarms as needed.*

I have not noticed any shirt staining from the oil, but be cautious with certain fabrics. I wore an old t-shirt today just in case there would have been staining. And there was none. ; )

Blessings to all,

It's official.

Wow! I finally had the guts to start a blog. I am officially a BLOGGER! LOL. I have been wanting to start this for some time now, but was afraid of what others might say about what I write or how often I blog. Then I thought nobody is perfect, we ALL mess up from time to time and need a little help to get things back going. So I am hoping that all who reads my blog will enjoy what I write, and not judge me or anyone else, unless you are perfect.
